my experience.
Harlowharlow! juz wan to tell u all wat juz happened, which i still feel quite weird on the inside. coz rite, today i happen to stay at home to check out the uni stuff. den e doorbell rang ma. somehow duno y, i had a bad feeling. but it could be the newspaperman or sth. But there was these 2 ladies whom one of them started by saying, have you wondered y there have been so many disasters, or have y ever wondered y the food prices r going up? things lidat. den i duno how to reply ma. so i juz shrug as usual. so she went on to say like den i want to refer you to the bible. so i quickly juz mentioned im also a christian. but they still ask if they can share things with me. Den they brought me to verses which mention the last days. things like nations will be against nations, kingdoms against kingdoms, n great earthquakes, which she refer to the example of the china earthquake. somehow wat i got from them was actually fear. like they din really mention much but make it seems like its really scary lor. den i was wearing new creation church shirt ma. so e other woman ask me wat the verse on my shirt says, as though testing me. but i cant really ans. den she went on to say i should read more into the bible, so i would noe if wat my church teach is really from the bible n not juz listen to ppl. sth lidat. ya lor. as in honestly inside of me was anger. i mean i do read e bible but i dun read it as much as u doesnt mean i learn less than u or have to feel bad bout it or is less loved by God. so anyway, i was really juz wondering y God brought them to me.

well, i think Daddy God brought them to you for you to minister to them the grace of God instead! hahaha=]. Really i agree with you that you need not prove anything sheryl! A princess of God needs not prove that she is a princess, she IS!=D
sometimes these people are the ones who choose to run around with a warped knowledge of who God is and what the Bible says. yes, there will be disasters in the last days but God also said in the Bible that as the world gets darker, the church will shine brighter and brighter! even when i was in US, 2 old ladies with similar stuff also knocked on my mother's front door! but you know sheryl, don't let this bother you. like jo says, there's nothing you need to do to prove who you are in Christ. rather than all the little nitty gritty details in the Bible, i think the old ladies failed to understand that everything in the Bible is peripheral to Jesus and His finished work on the cross. and that's the part we concentrate on, because without it, everything else in the Bible is rendered meaningless.
