My Favourite Bible Character

It's cool that Joel talked about David and Pastor Benjamin also preached a little about David.

I think many of you would have the same favourite Bible character as me and it's none other than David.

David is such an amazing person. His life is such an awesome story. From being a shepherd boy to king of Israel his journey was simply amazing.

I love how David has such a heart for God.

There's so much we can learn from David's life. I shall share a little about one of the most significant moments in David's life and throughout the days even after this month I'll keep adding on because it's too much for a single entry.

He was so assured of God's love for him that he could stand before Goliath and proclaim victory over the giant.

And even before facing Goliath David picked up five smooth stones. Not only does it signify that His victory will be because of God's grace but it was also showing how God will bring further victory in David's life. The other stones were meant for the other brothers of Goliath who were also giants.

If they had come after him after he defeated Goliath he would have a stone ready to defeat them as well and he knew that God would give him that victory.

I've shared before that even though the stone was small it took down the giant. God used a small stone from a small sling from that young shepherd boy to defeat the champion of the Philistines. God loves to use the small things of the world to confound the wise.

It's really amazing to know that! More from David in the days to come.
