interesting. but not altogether surprising given that (i think) it was geared towards the phenomenally large christian demography - who watches AND votes on AI. but this is certainly amusing/cool cos the choice of the song is quasi-modern enough and deviates from the usual (but timeless!) Amazing Grace and what have you. *on a side note, youtube Kristy Lee Cook's audition - her rendition of Amazing Grace sent shivers down my spine while watching it on tv. SO, as i was saying, you can view it as a marketing ploy on the producer's part to hook the general 'christian' populace - which DOES make a BIG deal (ie Underwood's victory over semi-finalist and distinctly less-'christian'/rocker Bo Bice in season 4)- or see it as a successful confluence of religion and entertainment - christainment if you will. LOL, my question thus, what are your views on the seeming rise of this phenemonon; good thing or bad; and the implications and significance of such an occurence to you.

Aesthetically-wise, i do find the all-white ensemble rather fitting in relation to the theme (idol gives back); and the arrangement of the song quite refreshing. & check out those synchronised steps!

disclaimer: this is just my twenty-two cents worth attempt to dissect this short clip into various modes of discussions. If God can use the weak things of the world to confound the 'wise', i don;t see why He can't use AI to speak to the masses. therefore, dont read me wrong as i'm not anti-AI! remember, just my 22cents worth :)

"Nothing compares to the promise I have in You.." eh!
